UPDATE: Warning downgraded to advisory
A severe weather warning is posted at the WJR Weather Center for the high winds along with scattered rain. The winds are expected to cause the usual damage: downed trees and power lines. There are several thousand outages in West Michigan and many more in states south and west of Michigan. In the Detroit area, thousands of homes and businesses are also without power.Some schools are closed, click here
