A five member team reviewing the finances of Wayne County has determined the county is in a financial emergency. County Executive Warren Evans requested the review last month.
Governor Rick Snyder has ten days to declare if an emergency exists. It that happens the Wayne County Commission would have seven days to pick one of four options — consent agreement, emergency manager, neutral evaluation or bankruptcy.
