Just in time for the warmer weather: there is word of a bumper crop of mosquitoes in Michigan, and we can blame the wet weather for it. Linda Vail, Ingham County’s health officer, told the Lansing State Journal it’s been one of the area’s biggest years for mosquitoes.
Experts urge people to apply repellents during peak mosquito periods like dusk and dawn, and to make sure standing water around their home is drained to remove mosquito breeding sites.
