Driver in crash that killed two children charged with murder

A man accused of killing two children and injuring three others is being charged with murder. Prosecutor Kym Worthy is charging 29-year-old Lorenzo Harris with two counts of second degree murder and leaving the scene of an accident. Harris is facing several other charges in connection with the car crash. Police say the man was trying to get away from officers when he drove down Nottingham street on the city’s eastside at speeds well above the legal limit. Two children, ages 3 and 6, were killed. Harris will be arraigned in Romulus’ 34th District court.
