DETROIT, MI — A woman accused in the February death of her 2-year-old son was found mentally incompetent to stand trial Tuesday.
Priyanka Chakraborty, 26, was charged with first-degree murder felony murder and first-degree child abuse after an autopsy revealed the child died of asphyxiation on Feb. 6 at a Sobieski Street home on the city’s east side.
Detroit District Judge Ronald Giles ordered a psychological examination in February, and found her incompetent Tuesday, according to the Associated Press.
