Reward increased in federal judge shooting case

Marie Osborne, WJR News

The reward for information leading to arrests and convictions in the case of a shooting of a federal judge in Detroit has been fattened. District Judge Terrance Berg was shot in the leg last month outside of his Detroit home. The U.S. Marshals Service is increasing the reward from $35 to $50 thousand. Berg, who is recovering, says he’ll participate in an anti-violence march at Jesu Catholic Church in Detroit.

Berg, 55, was shot March 5 after collecting his trash cans. Two men, believed to be aged 18-25, demanded to be let inside his house. When he refused, he was shot. His wife and 16-year-old son were home at the time.

Anyone with information is asked to Call Either The FBI, Detroit Police Or Us Marshals Service.
