DETROIT, MICH. ~ Arch Sloan, the suspect in the case involving the murders of Mark Stebbins, Jill Robinson, Kristine Mihelich and Timothy King between 1976 and 1977, has died at the age of 84.
According to WXYZ Detroit, the convicted pedophile passed away on June 12, 2026, after being put into hospice care a few days prior.
Decades later, no one has been charged with the deaths of the four children, but FBI test results in 2012 connected Sloan’s 1966 Pontiac Bonneville to hairs of Mark and Timothy that were found in the 1976 search.
Due to his criminal history, Sloan’s parole officer pushed Southfield police to investigate him after Mark’s body was found seven miles away from his home. In 1984, Sloan pleaded guilty to raping a 10-year-old boy, and had been locked up until his death.
