
ROMULUS, MICH. ~ After Spirit Airlines shut down operations in early May, Frontier Airlines is taking over three routes from Spirit at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
On Sunday, the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Philadelphia International Airport began nonstop service that is operating daily, according to The Detroit News, while the same service to the Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas started Monday.
In replacing the low-fare airline, Frontier is introducing a one-way trip to Fort Lauderdale starting at $49 and ones to Philadelphia and Las Vegas starting at $79. The offer is available through Sunday and is only valid for select nontravel dates between Aug. 3 and Sept. 2.
