Foster Braun

Foster Braun is the host of WJR's "Internet Advisor" show.

Foster Braun's life has always been "unique". While other boys were busy working on educational and hormonal issues, he spent the 12 years of high school, college and post-grad studying for the Catholic missionary priesthood.

During those years he traveled to and lived in most of Latin America, including two years in Caracas, Venezuela. Shortly after returning to the U.S. in 1972, he began a completely new career as a professional broadcaster in Detroit and in 1975 met and married his wife Ginny with her four beautiful daughters.

One of the most profound changes in Foster´s life happened in 1978 and led to a brand new life including recovery from alcoholism, the reconciliation of his marriage and many other remarkable changes.

From 1981-84, Foster and Ginny co-produced "Love Talks", a Christian talk show, on WLQV-AM Detroit. In 1986 the show reappeared on WWCM-AM in Ypsilanti, where it flourished until 1990 when Foster began a new phase of his career as a self-employed voice and on-camera talent in industrial and commercial programs. Nowadays, you'll find his voice on radio and cable TV commercials, industrial training videos in Spanish or English and even on commercial phone answering systems. 

Foster joined WJR in 1996 and between 1997 and 2000 was the host of WJR's Great Weekend Show from 6-10 a.m. on Saturdays. During this time, "The Internet Advisor" grew out of the regular contributions by Gary Baker to the show beginning in 1997 and turned into its own individual show in 2001.

Among other things, Foster has served as a cross-cultural trainer for major corporations, frequent MC, public speaker, and adult education teacher at his church. He is also a industrial video producer and writer and speaking of prolific, he currently boasts 16 grandchildren!

There is seldom a spare moment and never a dull one in the life of Foster Braun!
