Internet Gambling OK’d By Legislature

Online casino-style gambling is coming to Michigan.
The governor is expected to sign bills legalizing internet gambling, including betting on sporting events. Gambling would be limited thru existing casino’s, in Detroit and the 24 Indian tribal casino’s.
The casino’s have to pay for state licenses that cost thousands of dollars. Online gambling would be taxed between 20 and 28 percent of gross receipts of the casino’s.
Online gambling could start by March.
