The Detroit Police narcotics unit has so much corruption that the lead investigator has set up a hotline to get tips.
Chief James Craig has reassigned everyone in the unit with five or more years’ experience.
Craig confirms that some officers have shaken down drug dealers, falsified documents to get warrants, and embezzled money.
Several narcotics officers have been charged or convicted since the internal investigation began in 2010.
