Time is getting short for General Motors hourly workers who are considering a buyout offer from the automaker.
Under a new contract reached with the UAW, GM is offering a 60-thousand dollar retirement bonus for up to two thousand eligible production workers and 60 eligible skilled workers who
retire between December 31st and February 28th of next year.
The deadline for making a decision is this Saturday.
If more workers agree to the deal than were provided for under the terms of the labor agreement, those with the highest seniority would get the nod.
