New Residents Move In At The Corner

Corktown’s Growth is continuing with the opening of a 37-million mixed-use development called ‘The Corner.”

The first group of tenants are expected to move into the former site of Detroit’s Tiger Stadium this week.
It features 111 residential units and 27-thousand square feet of commercial space.

The building offers studio apartments starting at one thousand dollars a month, one bedroom apartments at just under 16-hundred dollars a month and two bedroom apartments between 23-hundred and 27-hundred a month.

20-percent of the apartments are being set aside as ‘affordable’ for tenants with below-average incomes.

The ‘Corner’ is one of two housing developments that are opening at the site of the old Tiger Stadium.

It’s called ‘The Towns at the Corner’ and will offer 34 townhouse condos ranging in price from about 440-thousand to 512-thousand dollars.
