The Wayne County Ethics Board is scheduled to meet today in the ongoing investigation of Treasurer Eric Sabree.
he board began looking at his families tax foreclosure purchases back in February.
A company the treasurer had formed in 2002, which he says is now run by his wife, purchased three Harper Woods homes in 2011 in the county’s tax foreclosure auction while Sabree was running the sale.
His son Adam was also listed as a successful auction bidder on a Detroit house in 2017.
During those years, county ruled prohibited family members of the treasurer from taking part in the county auctions.
Sabree has denied there was any wrongdoing.
The ethics board had asked for some additional documents last month.
Attorneys say they have already turned over nearly 22-hundred pages of records.
