He Put Lionel Trains Back On Track

Businessman Richard Kughn has died.
Richard Kughn gained a lot of attention, and affection, when he took over Lionel trains, after the toy train maker moved production to Mexico. Mr. Kughn moved it to Chesterfield Twp. and kept the company in business.
But he made his money as a developer, first as the president of the Taubman Company, designing and building shopping malls around the world, and then his own company.
Besides trains, he loved old cars, and had a collection of more than 200 classic cars. He also supported many community organizations in
Detroit.
Businessman Richard Kughn was 89.
