Sorting Thru Wills Of Aretha Franklin

Did Aretha Franklin have a will? If she did, which will was her last will?
A court hearing is scheduled for today to try and straighten out questions concerning three wills found in one of the suburban homes of Aretha Franklin.
It was first thought that she had not left a will.

Then in May three handwritten wills were found.

Two had been found in a locked cabinet, the third under the cushions of a living room couch.

All indicated she wanted to provide for her four adult sons and others.

The wills were then filed in Oakland County probate court.

Franklin’s niece, Sabrina Garrett Owens found the wills and is seeking directions from Probate Judge Jennifer Callaghan on how to move forward in the matter.
