Cop Shootout Case Goes To Court

A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a Detroit man accused of getting into a shootout with 3 Detroit police officers.

22 year old Deantrae Oneal is facing 9 charges including 3 counts of assault with intent to murder.

Police say Oneal tried to run over one of the officers when he was pulled over for a traffic stop.

He then opened fire at two other officers.

One was hit in the abdomen, the other in the leg.

They returned fire and Oneal was hit five times, but survived.

All three officers are recovering.

22 year old Breanna Washington of Detroit was in the car at the time and has been charged with being an accessory after the fact.
