Yzerman Returns To Wings

His jersey hangs from the rafters.
Now Steve Yzerman will return as boss of the Red Wings.
Owner Christopher Ilitch, Red Wings GM Ken Holland and Steve Yzerman will will hold a news conference at which the team is expected to introduce Yzerman as their new general manager, while Holland will stay on as senior vice president.
The 53 year old Yzerman has spent the last nine seasons in Tampa Bay, including eight as the Lightning’s general manager. He announced his resignation at the start of the season. Previous to going to Tampa, Yzerman served as a Red Wings vice-president.

Holland has been general manager since 1997, during which the Wings won four Stanley Cups.
