GM Plans New EV At Orion

General Motors will invest $300 million in its Orion Township assembly plant that will produce a new Chevy electric car.
The company says the plan will bring 400 new jobs to the Orion plant.

GM says it is investing a total of $1.8 billion in its U-S operations, creating 700 new jobs.

The Orion plant will help build electric and self-driving vehicles for Chevrolet and the self-driving Cruise unit. Currently, the plant produces the Chevrolet Sonic, the Chevrolet Bolt EV and the Cruise AV test vehicles.
