Reporters from around the world are in Detroit today for the first of 2 days of media previews for the North American International Auto Show.
There will be over 750 vehicles on display, including the debut of 30 new cars and trucks.
SUVs and a big pickup truck will get top billing, but there will also be some surprise sports cars and electric vehicles on display.
The show will open to the public next Saturday and run through the 27th.
This year’s Detroit Auto Show will be the last to be seen in the month of January.
Next year, it will be switched to a June showing.
Awards at the auto show:
Car of the year is the Genesis G-70.
Utility of the year is the Hyundai Kona.
Truck of the year is the Ram 1500.
