Former Troy City manager Brian Kischnick is scheduled to be sentenced for accepting bribes.
The 50 year old pled guilty in Detroit federal Court to accepting thousands of dollars from a Clinton Township contracting company which has worked for years on paving projects in Troy.
The bribery charge came to light months after he had been fired from his 161-thousand dollar a year job following allegations of domestic abuse and questionable expenses.
Charges of bribery involving federal funds can carry a sentence of up to ten years in prison.
Because Kischnick agreed to plead guilty, his lawyer says he should get no more than 2 years.
The government says it should be more.
