Apartment Bribery Case In Court

A former Detroit apartment manager is scheduled to be sentenced today on bribery charges.
41 year old Lucresha Frank of Pontiac was the manager of the Colony Arms Apartments in 2013.

Prosecutors say she took bribes from poor people, including a homeless mother, in exchange for moving them up on a lengthy waiting list for the federally subsidized housing units.

FBI agents who investigated the case say the woman’s actions were motivated by her own greed and prevented those in real need of being able to access low-cost housing.

She is facing up to ten years in prison and a fine of 250-thousand dollars.
