Vigil For Man Shot By Police

Friends and family gathered to remember Theoddeus Gray, a 29-year-old man who was killed by police outside a St. Clair Shores banquet hall. Police believe Gray shot and killed a police dog, who they say was tracking him after he was seen with a gun.

A candlelight vigil was held outside his home.

Gray’s family said they don’t believe he had a weapon. They say police acted in a case of mistaken identity.

The Macomb County Sheriff’s Office took over the investigation.
