Gruesome Discovery At Funeral Home Investigated

The state is investigating the latest troubles at the former Cantrell Funeral Home on Detroit’s east side.
11 bodies, remains of infants, were found in the building, which was closed down as a funeral home in April.
Police chief Craig says Detroit Police are assisting investigators from the Michigan Attorney General’s office.

The property is now owned by a businessman who wants to put in a new development. The Archdiocese says it will offer to pay for a decent burial for the babies. Efforts are underway to identify them. The remains may have been there for several years.
