VW Names New North America Boss

The head of Audi in North America will take the reins of Volkswagen in the U-S.
The new boss is the first American to hold the position in many years.

Scott Keogh will succeed Hinrich Woebcken to head up VW’s North American Operations. Volkswagen Group of America is based in Auburn Hills. The 49 year old Keogh is the first American in 25 years to take over the job.
Keogh has led Audi from being a small player in the luxury brands to become a rival of Mercedes, BMW, and Lexus in North America. Audi sales are up 12-percent in the last 2 years.

Volkswagen was staggered by an emissions scandal 3 years ago. But the brand has come roaring back, boosting the bottom line… and morale… in Auburn Hills.
