New Push To Restart Roadwork

Governor Rick Snyder hopes to meet this week with both sides in a dispute that has halted many road projects across the state since September 4th.

The Michigan Infrastructure and Transportation Association imposed the work stoppage after Operating Engineers Local 324 refused to bargain on a new contract after its five-year contract expired in June.

The Governor is seeking a temporary agreement to get the road work resumed.
