Flint Airport Attack Case Makes Slow Progress

A pre-trial hearing has been scheduled for today for a man accused of stabbing a police officer during a terrorist attack at Flint’s Bishop International Airport.

Amore Ftouhi is a dual citizen of Canada and Tunisia.

Prosecutors say he entered the airport in June of last year shouting in Arabic that ‘God is Great.’

Police Lt. Jeff Neville was stabbed in the neck, but survived.

Investigators say Ftouhi called himself a soldier of Allah.

He is scheduled to go trial on November 5th.

His lawyer recently asked that the case be transferred from Flint Federal Court To Detroit Federal Court, claiming his client couldn’t get a fair trial in Flint.

That request was denied
