There is yet another case in the news of a gun being left unsecured in a home where there were children.
It’s also another case of where its the child that finds the gun and end up shooting himself.
Luckily, in this case, the child survived.
The father, Melvin Cline III, pled guilty to child abuse charges and is to be sentenced today.
Cline and his wife told police at first that the boy had been hit from a shot fired from outside the home.
Investigators determined that was a lie.
Prosecutors later determined the boy had picked up the gun while Cline and his wife were arguing.
