Detroiters Are Making More Money

Household income grew in Detroit for a second straight year. The U-S Census survey says median household income rose nearly 6-percent in 2017. But Detroit continues to be the poorest big city in America.

Detroit’s poverty rate is 34-percent.
Southfield’s median household income is 58,800 dollars. Farmington Hills, 82-thousand 600, Livonia 82-thousand 400.
The state’s median household income was 54-thousand 909 dollars… a rise of 2-percent over 2016, but lower than what households were earning before the Great Recession, adjusted for inflation.
