Another Detroit Cop Dies

A Detroit Police officer who was run down by a hit-and-run driver earlier this month has died.
30 year old Fadi Shakur was walking to his scout car on West McNichols when he was hit by a 19 year old driver. Shakur suffered severe head injuries, and had been on life support.
The teenager later turned himself in. He faces charges.
Shakur is the 4th Detroit Police officer to die in the last 8 months.
Officer Darren Weathers died during a training exercise in February.
Officer Glenn Doss was shot and killed on a domestic violence run in January.
Last month officer James Hearn died in a crash while off-duty.
