ISIS Fighter From Dearborn Nabbed

A Dearborn man is in custody in the middle east, arrested earlier this month for being a fighter for the Islamic State.

Ibraheem Musaibli was arrested as he tried to escape the Middle Euphrates River area. American-backed Syrian Democratic Forces are fighting remaining pockets of Islamic State control, according to the New York Times.

The newspaper reported that authorities are working to bring Musaibli and an Indiana woman back to the U.S. to be prosecuted.
The Times reached Musaibli’s brother, who expressed disbelief that Musaibli would have joined ISIS.

“My brother is a saint,” he said.
