Hit-Run Leaves Woman Critical

A woman is in the hospital after she was critically injured in a hit-and-run Sunday night in Southwest Detroit.

23 year old Shaina Sarnowsky was being dropped off at the VFW Post on Campbell Street when someone in a green Ford Escort threw a cup of coffee and beer bottle at her, according to authorities.

Sarnowsky ran into the street to yell at the car. The driver turned around, sped up and ran her down.

It may have been a continuation of an argument at a party store down the street.
A family member says she was dragged 40 feet down the road after she bounced off the windshield of the car.
