A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash on eastbound M-59 east of Livingston Road in Highland Township.
Police say a pickup truck was stopped in the median crossing waiting to turn left onto eastbound M-59 as a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on M-59.
As the motorcycle entered the left lane from the median crossing – the motorcycle crashed into the rear of the truck.
Authorities say several witnesses saw the motorcycle speeding and driving recklessly before slamming into the truck.
The 31 year old motorcyclist was treated for injuries and stabilized.
He was transferred to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
Police say alcohol is believe to be a factor.
The crash remains under investigation.
