Trash Scandal Target Goes To Trial

Former Clinton Township Trustee Dean Reynolds goes on trial for his accused role in a wide spread corruption case.
Reynolds was the first of 20 defendants named in a federal indictment in a public corruption scandal centered in Macomb County.

The 50 year old has been accused of accepting bribes in exchange for his support of a lucrative trash hauling contract for the Rizzo company and his dealings with towing company boss Gasper Fiore.

He rejected a plea deal that would have sent him to prison for ten years.

He is now facing charges at trial that could put him behind bars for more than 24 years.

He is the first person to go to trial in the scandal.
