Two men accused of imprisoning, beating and sexually assaulting another man over a 500-dollar debt are scheduled to go on trial today.
Robert Ware and Charles Post were scheduled for trial after rejecting a plea deal last week.
The alleged victim testified during a preliminary examination in December that he owed Post the money.
He said he was lured to a house on Thomas Avenue in November and once inside the home, he was stripped naked and held in the basement.
The man testified he was hit with a shotgun, was sexually assaulted and the day before the preliminary examination was offered 400-dollars not to testify.
Ware and Post both have prior criminal records on charges including including attempted arson, unarmed robbery, felonious assault and possession of firearms by a felon.
