Transgender Victim Shot In Detroit Robbery

One suspect is in custody after a robbery and shooting led to a police chase that ended with a crash in Detroit.

Police say a transgender man was robbed at gunpoint while walking near Woodward and Palmer Park. The suspect’s vehicle — a red GMC Yukon — fled after the transgender man was shot.

Surveillance cameras caught the image of the fleeing vehicle. It struck barricades on Canfield and Warren. The 3 suspects jumped out.

One of the suspects was taken into custody. Two suspects still remain on the loose.
