Michigan Supreme Court Justice Tapped

 

Gov. Snyder is filling a vacancy on the State Supreme Court.
Snyder is naming Elizabeth Clement to the state’s high court. Clement replaces Joan Larsen, who has been appointed to the federal Court of Appeals.
Clement is the chief legal counsel to the governor. Clement previously worked in the State Senate Republican policy office.
Clement has never been a judge.
Travis Weber will become the governor’s legal counsel.
