A preliminary exam is scheduled for today for a Dearborn couple charged in the non-fatal shooting of two toddlers in their unlicensed daycare center.
Timothy and Samantha Eubanks are facing numerous counts of child abuse and a felony firearms charge.
It was the morning of September 27th.
Mrs Eubanks says she hear a noise upstairs in the home and found that her 3 year old son had found a handgun and shot one 3 year old in the face and another 3 year old in the shoulder.
Prosecutors say the husband had knowingly left an unsecured gun in the home.
Police say there were 7 children in the home at the time.
The Eubank’s have six children of their own ranging in age from 3 to 15.
The charges against them are ten year felonies.
Dearborn police chief Ronald Haddad said the wounded children are recovering, but will need a lifetime of care.
