The case involves trash hauling king Chuck Rizzo and his father Charles.
The 47 year old Chuck Rizzo pled guilty last week in Port Huron federal court in a scheme to steal money from his company and to bribing various Macomb County officials in exchange for their support for lucrative trash hauling contracts with his company.
Under a plea deal he would face just over 6 years in prison.
However, that plea deal is contingent on his father today pleading guilty to similar charges filed against him.
The Rizzo’s were among 17 people named in a wide-ranging public corruption investigation.
To date, 11 have entered guilty pleas.
