Wayne State University is trying to fire some faculty members who are accused by the university of doing little or no work.
Hearings start today for the first of five WSU medical school professors. Another five professors also may face dismissal proceedings.
The five professors were identified last year in a list of medical school faculty, according to a university spokesman. The WSU Board of Governors has exprssed concerns about the med school amid budget problems and accreditation warnings.
