GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda got the auto industry back into record territory after a recent skid.
GM at 10-percent and Toyota with 4-percent had their best increases of the year.
Ford rose 5-percent, Honda 6-percent.
Fiat-Chrysler was the exception, declining 14-percent.
Continued low gasoline prices were joined by Thanksgiving holiday deals to boost sales.
The annualized selling rate will be at or near the all-time high. Carmakers will find out this month if Santa will bring them a record.
