Detroit Police investigate their second ambush-style shooting targeting officers in 24 hours.
Police were again under fire a day after they dodged bullets in a nearby neighborhood.
Police say they pulled over to check on a car running at the curb on Hull and East State Fair, when gunshots rang out from the porch of a house. A 45 year old man took several shots at officers. Police returned fire, hitting the gunman several times.
Chief Craig says officers got lucky, when the man’s gun jammed.
The gunman is in critical condition. Police say he’s a paroled murderer.
