An Amber Alert for a 7-year-old Livingston County girl was canceled after the girl was found safe in Florida.
The alert was issued as police were looking for Sapphie Palmer and her mother, 30-year-old Amanda Hayward, and a man they were believed to be with.
Hayward and her daughter were found safe in Florida. She said she and Sapphire are “more than okay.”
She made the trip with a man who is aregistered sex offender.
Hayward claims she knew him for 10 years, but never knew about his background. The girl was taken into protective custody by Florida officials.
The man was not there when Hayward and her daughter were found Thursday night at the home of Amanda Hayward’s mother.
