A Westland police officer is making national headlines for all the right reasons. Officer Joshua Scaglione had pulled Lavonte Dell of Inkster over Monday afternoon on Warren avenue in Westland. Scaglione was investigating the tinted windows on Dell’s car. But when the officer saw dells three-year-old daughter with out a car seat, he asked him to follow him to the store where he bought him a new car seat for the little girl. Dell said he was stunned and posted the story of the encounter on Facebook and it’s gone viral.

Scaglione said he was just trying to help someone out. Dell said the incident changed his life.
