Remembering Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks from CNN

Today would have been Rosa Parks 103rd birthday: She was born on this date in 1913. Parks inspired the civil rights protests in 1955 by refusing to give up her seat to a white man on a bus in Selma, Alabama. Parks moved to Detroit after the incident and worked as a secretary and aide to Representative John Conyers Jr. in 1964. She retired in 1988 and passed away on October 24th, 2005 at the age of 92.
