The Executive Council says members have been studying the best way to revamp what Fiat Chrysler makes in America and Fiat Chrysler CEP Sergio Marchionne will soon disclose the upcoming changes. While the company will report their fourth-quarter and year-end earnings, Marchionne assures there will be no plant closures or lay-offs in the near future. Marchionne says Fiat Chrysler still plans to spend $5.4 billion to develop eight new cars models in hopes to reach annual sales of more than seven-million vehicles by the end of 2018. Last fall, FCA ratified a four-year contract with the UAW, giving the union its first new contract with the Detroit’s Big Three.
