Detroit tax payers can now file online

Tax Refund

For the first time ever, Detroit taxpayers will be able to file their city taxes online. According to the Detroit News, the move could boost city revenue by approximately $6-million. City officials say they expect at least 80,000 people to take advantage of the update tax filing option. The city will no longer accept cash payments for income tax bills. Another change is the filing deadline: It will be moved from April 30th to April18th.
