Standoff at Pontiac home over. Gunman already gone

After six hours of an ongoing situation with what was thought to be a suspect barricaded in a house on Hazel Avenue near Telegraph Road, it is over. Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies had surrounded the home for 6 hours, but the man they thought was inside had already left the scene. Police arrived on the scene after reports of gunfire, they thought the man was inside with his girlfriend and child. The woman and child got out unharmed, and police believed the gunman was still inside. It appears he had already left before they arrived.
